I have created this blog to keep family and friends updated on Bob's progress, and to share special moments we have all had in his presence. Please join me in blogging for Bob.
This man has been a very special part of my life. His has and always will be my Father even if by marriage, I still consider him my dad! He is inttelligent, optimistic; great father and grandfather. He loves to shoot the breeze with his friends, and loves nothing more than a round of golf with his wife, family and friends. He is also a pretty cool guy to have a few gin and tonics with!
Scott, Laura and I went to the lake to surprise him for his birthday, I think we got him. Unfortunately he did not feel his best that night, but was a tropper anyway! Bob start's chemo again next week for three days. All your prayers and blessings are much appreciated!
I will be downloading some pictures soon. God Bless.
Shelley-Just taking a minute to thank you for this blog. I will forward to mom and dad. Prayers are sent up everyday for Bob and Family, I know he is being a trooper, a wonderful man. Please let me know if I can help you with anything.
Ty so much for the blog, awesome idea. Gawd, he's been a part of my life for 57 years, seems unreal. I have way too many memories to list as they are all my faves lol. But everyone of them is filled with laughs, especially at the family get togethers. U just never knew what him and his brothers were gonna pull. He knows i've been down this road and it doesn't seem all that long ago. All my deepest prayers going up that this time the treatments work. If u need some pixs for here let me know ok? Pam Mayfield
Shelley this is a wonderful tool to keep in touch. I have been thinking of your family and praying for you all. I will post some old photos I have from the good ol' days. Please let me know if there is anything I can do since I am close. Prayers from my family...Vicki DeHahn
We are into our 3rd good day. Nausea controlled but no energy. Day 1 without radiation. Day 2 tomorrow. Begining radiation again Monday with 3 weeks to go. Also 3 days of chemo next week. As soon as radiation is completed, chemo begins on a weekly basis for awhile.
Thank you for your support and prayers. They are very much apprecited. I know all the prayers are helping us stay focused on today only.
We see lots of shoreline from our house. Looking forward to the leaves changing colors. Have a wonderful weekend. vmy
Vicki, that would be awesome to have pic's from the good ole days. I'm Bob would love to see them. I'm still trying to figure out how to use this thing.
3 days of chemo plus 4 days radiation completed this week. Still have 11 more radiation treatments plus more chemo. At 10:30 p.m. with meds to curtail nausea, all is great. Radiation dept. takes credit for nausea and fatigue. Doc said loss of hair not related to this chemo.WE hope that when radiation is completed, the fatigue and nausea will subside. Thank you to every person who continues to pray for RL, (Bob, Robert). We so appreciate your continued support and prayers.
